Dunkard Brethren African Mission
Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen. Matthew 28:19-20
Five-year-old Kevin became an orphan two years ago. His mother died of stress and starvation because his father was an alcoholic and drank all the income. Kevin’s father died of alcoholism. Kevin’s step mother took care of Kevin and the children at first but she was cruel to them.
A couple from the Dunkard congregation in Kamoi, Kenya had compassion on Kevin and his brother and took them in.
When they took the boys in Kevin walked normally but since July his walking changed and his back has become deformed.
Kevin had an x-ray of the spine. The x-ray showed that two vertebrae are completely gone and another one is half gone. The Dr. said something is eating at Kevin’s spine and he feels it is tuberculosis. The Dr. would like to do surgery to try to straighten Kevin’s back as much as possible and to determine if it is for sure TB. Kevin has started taking TB medication and will be on the medication for a year if the Dr. determines he does have TB.
The medication will kill the TB bacteria that is eating Kevin’s bones, but it cannot heal the damage already done.
Please pray for Kevin's healing.
